Prayer

Prayer is foundational!  Prayer can bring about dreams and visions, divine appointments, and the Word of God can take root in the hearts of our Muslim friends.  It is our privilege and responsibility to pray for God to open the hearts of Muslims for the Gospel.  Through these prayers, the Holy Spirit will move in the hearts of our Muslim friends, co-workers, and neighbors.

Why Fridays at noon?  This is the time most Muslims will attend the mosque for congregational prayers. They are often spiritually attuned during this time, so this is a strategic time to unite in prayer.  As Christians in North America and Europe join together, interceding on behalf of Muslims worldwide, we know God will perform a mighty work in these times we are living in.

How else can I pray for Muslims?

There are other ways to pray for Muslims.

  • Use the Word of God.  Praying specific scriptures is a good first step to praying for Muslims.  For example, pray that Muslims' eyes will be open (2 Corinthians 4:4); that God will open a door for the Gospel (Colossians 4:3); and that they will worship God in truth (Psalms 145: 18).
  • Pray for your Muslim friends by name.
  • Pray that you will connect with like-minded people who will join you in prayer.
  • Pray that your church will have a greater burden for reaching Muslims.
  • Pray for the local imam (Islamic leader) by name. You can usually find this information online.
  • Pray for natural relationships to form with Muslims in your community.
  • Make a LOCAL connection yourself!
